Why?

I was late to the party with the Lemonheads.

My little brother had had a tape of Lick when I was still more into metal. He made it to Pavement first as well.

And obviously, you couldn’t help but love Mrs Robinson when it was a hit. But yes. I came late.

I remember the joy of seeking them out on the early file sharing clients – Napster and Limewire would get you the cover versions.

I loved their cover versions. I sent their Different Drum to some people the other week when Mike Nesmith died.

I had my own arrangement on acoustic of their arrangment for Luka.

And Shame About Ray means a great deal to me. (Confetti and Drug Buddy in particular).

And by now, Evan had done Baby I’m Bored, and he’d done his stuff with the Dandy Warhols – both highpoints. So I was very much there.

Do I remember this show? Only that it was rescheduled.

High?

It’s a very real possibility.

Drinking?

You’d have to for the Lemonheads.

Thinking?

Please play Confetti.
